Rescuing Wright: The Restoration of Unity Temple

A work-in-progress documenting the ongoing restoration of the building Frank Lloyd Wright called his "little jewel box", this program goes behind the scenes to explore the challenges of historic preservation in a building still in use by the congregation for which it was designed almost a hundred years ago.

The reinforced concrete structure - one of the first of its kind - presents unique issues for preservationists, while the task of funding the project is its own monumental undertaking. Restoration is scheduled for completion by the centennial of the building in 2009.
